vs. Ford Fusion
What’s better than a smooth, stylish, and speedy ride? You’ll get all of that in the 2018 Mazda6. This year the Mazda6 adds more character with its new 2.5-liter turbo-4 engine. The new engine will give your driving experience fun and functionality compared to other mid-size sedans.
Our team at Lee Partyka Mazda has compared the Mazda6 to one of its biggest competitors - the Ford Fusion. Read on to find out how they measure up against each other.
The 2018 Mazda6
There are three trim levels available for 2018 Mazda6 but if you’re looking for more power, buckle up for the Sport trim. The new engine can get up to 250 horsepower with a six-speed automatic transmission. A sleek exterior and an innovative interior give the ride a more luxurious look, but where you will find true beauty is with the features it provides.
The 2018 Mazda6 features available leather-trimmed seats, Japanese Sen Wood Trim, and an 8.0-Inch Infotainment Display. Adaptive Cruise Control is also available, along with other new features. The updates to the interior are enough to make every ride functional and comfortable for passengers and drivers alike.
The 2018 Ford Fusion
The 2018 Ford Fusion is still a spacious commuter sedan. The 2018 model is almost identical to the 2017 model. The Fusion has two turbo engine options available. However, they produce less horsepower than the Mazda6. You will see the horsepower at 181 and 245.
Despite having no updates, there are five trim levels available and the driving capability is standard, delivering a smooth and practical ride. From our experience, this midsize sedan sets its focus on the cargo space and doesn’t take performance or technology into consideration the same way Mazda does.
If you’re looking to drive a smooth and stylish ride, the Mazda6 is the right car for you. Once you sit inside the vehicle you will automatically feel the security every driver looks for. All the changes this model received are worth trying out and adjusting according to your driving needs and likes.
